With the price of gas climbing, more people are beginning to ride bikes to save money on gas. Here are some tips to keep you safe while riding a bicycle.
1.Always wear a helmet. There should be a CPSC sticker that certifies it is safe according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
2.Wear bright clothing. At night, the clothing must be reflective.
3.Get a headlight for your bike and a rear reflector for the back.
4.If there is no bike lane or sidewalk to ride in, always stay to the right and ride in the same direction as traffic.
5.Use hand signals to show your turns.
6.Younger riders should always walk their bicycle across intersections that are busy.
